Coal Industry
With the tremendous reserves of coal in the United States, the coal industry could provide the U.S. with a tremendous source of energy for many years to come. The difficulty of course is the pollution that is created by coal-fired power plants.
More than ever before there is a tremendous amount of attention on having abundant, inexpensive and CLEAN power in our nation. Clean being of major concern and seemingly unsolvable in a cost effective manner.
EPT has an active oxygen technology that will enable coal-fired power plants (our currently most cost effective, safe energy producer) to burn more efficiently and to virtually eliminate the pollution emissions from the plant. Our technology creates a more active form of oxygen that will oxidize and neutralize the pollutants.
First, the boiler that burns the coal will have active oxygen injected into it to burn far more efficiently. This will reduce the amount of coal necessary to generate the same amount of electric power and will much more fully burn the coal, leaving far less pollutants.
Second, active oxygen "scrubbers" will be retrofitted to existing plants and designed into new power plants to oxidize any remaining pollutants and help to precipitate the particulate matter through ionization. The primary byproducts of this process will be oxygen and nitric acid. The nitric acid will be collected at the power plant and will actually serve as another source of revenue for power company, as this is a marketable commodity.
This type of project involves very specific consultation by EPT and a real commitment from an engineering company or utility. EPT is now entertaining joint-venture proposals from interested partners. If you represent a major engineering company active in the construction of power plants or you represent a utility company interested in a retrofit or a new design, and are interested in bringing the power industry to a whole new standard please feel free to contact us to discus the possibilities.
